SPOTLIGHT: Grading Curves by Naima Simone & Read Me Romance Podcast

Hey all this is going to be a review of two things, one is the new podcast I discovered and the other is of a very cool new author!

So, to start if you haven’t heard of Read Me Romance (podcast) you need to look them up ASAP! It is awesome to hear about what is going on in the real lives of other romance lovers, fun stories, and they have audiobook chapters for FREE!! That’s right I said audiobooks for FREE! I have never been a fan of either podcasts or audiobooks, but they get the good ones. The ones that make you feel the book not just hear it! Another amazing and cool thing is that they pick the novellas from great writers and play those so you can get a to know their style. After 5 podcast episode the book is done and you just for to listen and enjoy it with other listeners, how cool is that! It is run by Tessa Bailey and Alexa Riley; both are fantastic women who write phenomenal romance! So even if you have never cared for audiobooks please give them a listen and a chance, you won’t regret it! Though I will caution against listening in the car with your children, lol these are romance writers and books. I was reaching for the off button myself when my Bluetooth automatically started playing a scene from Grading Curves. 😊

I didn’t know him the night I climbed into his chair and under his tattoo machine. I didn’t know him when he taught me about the kind of pleasure I’d only read about in kinky millionaire romances.

I didn’t know that when I walked into my college classroom the next morning the man who’d inked my skin and dirtied my body would be sitting in front of me.

Dean Shaw is my student. My secret. And my downfall if the truth about us comes out.

The problem is, he’s also everything I crave and can’t let go…

MY REVIEW:

Grading Curves was my first Naima Simon’s book and my first audiobook I didn’t turn off a few minutes into it. There voiced grab and hold your attention, they make you feel what is happening in the story and I loved it! I listened to the story unfold on the podcast Read Me Romance, a new one for me but so worth the try! Naima writes a compelling story about two people in very different stages in life and yet they collide in an unlikely way. They have the chemistry but are not sure how they can make it work. Student falls for his college professor, this was a first for me as well and I found I was glued. I listened on my way to work and didn’t want to get out of the car. Yes, it is that good! Hot tattoo artist/student meets sexy (but doesn’t know it) college professor and the sparks fly!  You can listen for FREE on Read Me Romance or go over and pre-order the book NOW! Release date is in July but as I said TOTALLY worth it!

ABOUT AUTHOR:

USA Today Bestselling author Naima Simone’s love of romance was first stirred by Johanna Lindsey, Sandra Brown and Linda Howard many years ago. Well not that many. She is only eighteen…ish. Though her first attempt at a romance novel starring Ralph Tresvant from New Edition never saw the light of day, her love of romance, reading and writing has endured. Published since 2009, she spends her days—and nights— writing sizzling romances with a touch of humor and snark.

She is wife to Superman, or his non-Kryptonian, less bullet proof equivalent, and mother to the most awesome kids ever. They all live in perfect, sometimes domestically-challenged bliss in the southern United States.
