At four sixteen,
exactly fourteen minutes after our call ended, the doorbell rings. I look
through the peephole, see a giant brown eye, and laugh. My control-freak
billionaire is trying to peer into the condo. I swing the door open. “Peepholes
work only one way,” I tease.
“I thought you
might require retinal identification.” Nicolas smiles, his white teeth flashing
in his tanned face, and I inhale sharply. He’s so d*mn handsome, even when
exhausted, his black hair swept back from his gorgeous face, a hint of darkness
under his eyes, a shadow of stubble on his chin.
My body hums with
excitement. I’ve gained an appreciation for stubble, loving the feel of it
against my soft skin. “Welcome to my, or rather the Wynterses’, humble abode.”
I give the main room a game-show wave, showing Nicolas all of its fabulous
features, features he installed.
He looks around
him, his gaze stopping at Cyndi’s bedroom. “Their humble abode is a mess.”
Nicolas shakes his head. “That must be the Wynters girl’s room.” He strides
toward it.
“Don’t go in
there.” I hurry after him, intent on protecting Cyndi’s privacy. “That’s her
private space.”
“I’m closing the
door.”
“Don’t close the
door,” I shout. Nicolas stops abruptly and I smack into his back. He turns and gazes
at me as though I’ve lost my mind, which I suppose I have. “I like having it
open,” I explain, my voice lowered to a normal volume.
Nicolas raises
his eyebrows. “Her room is a disaster zone. You want to look at that?”
“Yes,” I admit,
avoiding his gaze. Seeing Cyndi’s things reassures me she’ll return to the
condo, to me. She’d never leave all of her stuff behind.
“Come on,” I
urge, not sharing any of this with Nicolas. “We’re serving ice cream at the
kitchen counter.”
Nicolas looks at the
bedroom, bewilderment flitting across his beautiful face. I wait, my heart
pounding, my fears admittedly irrational yet real to me.
He shrugs his
broad shoulders and follows me into the main living room-kitchen space. He’s a
smaller man than Hawke, yet his tread is heavier, noisier.
Relieved that the
bedroom crisis is over, I saunter to the fridge and extract the carton of
Heavenly Hash ice cream from the freezer compartment. The glass cups and spoons
are already laid out on the counter.
Nicolas perches
on a stool, touches the bowl of jelly beans, and frowns. “These look
familiar.”
My face heats. My
roommate tossed a bowl of jelly beans out of the window recently, earning all
building residents a memo from Nicolas’s management team. “It sometimes rains
jelly beans.” I scoop ice cream into the cups. “Chicago weather is
strange.”
Nicolas sprinkles
a handful of jelly beans onto his ice cream. “Your messy roommate is the
strange one.”
“Cyndi is my best
friend.” I jump to her defense. “And she bought the ice cream you’re eating.” I
place the tub back in the freezer. “Be nice.”
“I’m not a nice
man.” Nicolas swallows a spoonful of ice cream. “But she does have good taste
in ice cream. Does this have marshmallow in it?” He dissects the creamy treat.
“It does, and almonds. G*d, this is good.” He sucks on his spoon, appearing
adorably boyish.
I sit beside him
and we eat ice cream. My billionaire’s blue silk tie is loosened, the top
button of his crisp white shirt undone. His navy blue suit hugs his lean body.
His leather dress shoes balance on the bar stool’s footrest.
He’s here alone.
He arrived alone. “Shouldn’t you have a bodyguard with you?”
Nicolas’s lips
curve around his spoon. “Am I in danger? Should I be scared?” His dark eyes
sparkle.
“Be serious.” I
slap his shoulder.
My Review of this addictive book:
By this point if you are not in love with either Nicolas or
Hawke then why pray tell are you reading. Just kidding, Cynthia continues to
drive us crazy with her cliff hangers and secrets. Book four is no exception!
The notorious Lona has an offer for Bee, but thinking she knows what it is she
puts off her meeting until after her trip home. She is headed to Happydale in
the start of books 4 and reeling from her late night encounter. Bee thinks she
has seen the last of Hawke until he is waiting outside her condo for her. She
had thought he would leave her, just like her father had left her mother. Bee
thinks that’s just what people do, they get what they want from you and leave.
So why was Hawke still here? She makes it clear to him her planes for a real
date with Nicolas later that day, yet he still doesn’t leave.
Nicolas is
her plan, he is who she has planned on all this time, and Hawke is just a
distraction that needs to be stopped. That’s what Bee keeps telling herself, that’s
what she must keep reminding herself! This this books you have more passionate
kisses from both men, tempers flying, and more texts from the mysterious “Friendly”.

moment, lol. I am going to say as much as I can without giving anything away (not
easy BTW), and still get you all to read it. Belinda “Bee”, has started to
worry she may not be the good girl she has always tried so hard to be. She
secret admirer has been sending texts asking her to do the most daring things
and to her excitement she has done then. Getting her fabulous rewards doesn’t
help curb these desires and she thinks she knows who the texter is. Bee is
pretty sure is has to be either her sexy Billionaire Nicolas or the extremely
hot ex-military Biker Hawke. As the texts and rewards keep coming she is also
being draw to both men…

I said above book # 3 was delivered to my Kindle at midnight and I had to read
it all, I finished at 4:11am even though I had to be up not three hours later
to drop my daughter off at school. Sleep is over rated when a great book is
involved! Belinda is even more draw to both men and holding up her end of the promise
to her best friend Cyndi they go out! Bee is tired of being good and so she
decides to let her hair down, dress sexy and head out into the night. Her only
question is who should be the recipient of her new persona, Nicolas or Hawke?
Oh I was riveted and couldn’t stop reading and I know you will too!! Unfortunately,

So for the next few days I will be featuring each of the
Sinful Rewards books on here leading up to the release of number 4. For those
who don’t know these are a novella series with 12 books total. I didn’t realize
this when I bought the first one, it was only .99cents and I do love a bargain.
Cynthia got me hooked on them and now I anticipate their release! The first
book introduces us to Belinda Carter, a small town girl trying to overcome her
childhood and prove to herself and others she can be better. Her best friend’s
father is rich and gets them into an upscale condo owned by a handsome single
billionaire. Nicolas is wealthy, stable, follows a routine, and once he sets
his sights on something he wants he goes after it. He is everything Belinda
wants in a man, only problem is how to go about meeting him…
You know what they say about the best laid plans… Hawke is a
hot, tattooed, ex-military biker that stirs her body in all the best ways. She
first sees him when he is naked in all his glory out on his balcony. Then when
she spots him outside her building standing with his motorcycle Belinda has one
thought- RUN. She knows he will be just like her father, get what he wants and
bail. If only her body would listen to her mind, after one hot kiss she has a hard
time saying no and forgetting him all together. You would think this is enough
for a book, trying to figure out who Belinda will end up with- Nope. Cynthia
Sax had to add an element of true mystery, Belinda has a secret admirer. This
person sends her txt messages telling her she will be rewarded if she does what
the person wants… The intrigue, the emotion, and the storyline hooked me and
let me tell you I don’t normally like Erotica but Cynthia is my exception. I
hope if you like romance and over 18yrs of age you will give her books a

These are the first books I have read from the New Adult
section on Avon Romance and I have to say once I got past the age of the characters
I was able to get sucked into their lives. Sophie really brings the lives of
Pepper, Emerson, and Georgia to life, you feel like you are a part of their group. I am going to give a run down in
reading order so you can all know what to look forward to in these great books…
Foreplay:
Pepper is
that quiet girl that is easily overlooked. She has little confidence and has no
idea what she truly wants with one exception: Hunter. Hunter is her best friend’s
brother and growing up around his and his happy family makes her want to be a
part of it too. With her friends on board and Hunter newly single they devise a
plan to make Pepper noticeable. Her college roommates hear rumors of a Hot Bartender
that can show a girl a good time. This is who they choose to teach Pepper how
to entice and know the true meaning of Foreplay.
After
meeting Reese they are all blown away at how truly gorgeous he is. Peppers is
shocked when Reese agrees to help her out with lesions but doesn’t count on the
connection they have messing with her plans. When the lesions pay off and
Hunter does ask her out, Pepper has some more missions to make. This image of
the perfect family is within her grasp but her head and her heart are at war…

Tease:

Wild:
Ah the book
I could relate to more so then the other two. Granted I totally understood the invisible
thing Pepper felt in Foreplay but Georgia was so much like me. Georgia is a
good southern bell who was taught how to always be the proper lady, daughter,
and girlfriend. She was in a relationship with the same guy from age sixteen
until twenty. She thought she had been happy, she had good friends and went to
a college she loved. Then her longtime boyfriend dumps her for being too boring! Georgia starts to see how she
has been controlled and judged by everyone around her and decides to do
something about it. She gets an invite to the invite-only Kink Club on campus
and is shocked at what she finds. People keep telling her to go home, this pace
isn’t right for her… this was the reason she had gone, she wanted to prove she
wasn’t always good and predictable. She could be bad and do something a little
wild too.
Logan is
Hot, sexually experience beyond his years, and can show her all she has been
missing. This problem is he is younger than her and her friend’s little
brother, in other words- off limits. Georgia doesn’t want to be another notch on his head board
or a story he tells so this forces her to stay clear of him. This doesn’t work
out when he has made it clear he wants her and there is nothing she can do to
kill the flames that ignite when she thinks or sees him, let alone if he gets
close enough to touch her. Getting into way more trouble than planed Georgia’s

There is an Anthology to this series in Fifty First Times, I would recommend you
read after Foreplay. This is a story of one of the secondary/main characters in
the first book, I won’t say who unless asked but you can find out for yourselves
