Blurb:
After a devastating accident crushed my dreams, I ended up back in my hometown teaching kindergarten. I was trying to make the best of it. That is, until the world I had to leave behind, showed up in my classroom in the form of a five-year-old little girl. Her father living the exact life I almost had.

Adam Jacobson is known as the bad boy of rock. While he and his band tour the world, they leave a trail of mayhem. What no one knows is behind the music is a caring, straightedge man with a secret — a daughter who the world is about to discover.

When they move to my small town, their secret is blown. He needs my help to keep her out of the media, and with each exchange we grow closer. Only problem is I need to stay away from the memories he ignites, and the temptations he brings my way.

Secrets I’ve kept and thoughts of that fatal night come crashing back into my life. I have to wonder if it was more than fate that brought his little girl into my classroom.

SPOTLIGHT: Moonshine and Magnolias by Abigail Sharpe

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Hotel executive Wendy Marsh puts her career on hold when she inherits half of her family’s inn. Her to-do list? It’s simple: teach her spoiled cousin how to manage Fountenoy Hall, then hightail it back to her structured, careful life in Atlanta. Romance has never been part of Wendy's plan – so what is it about the sexy history professor researching the inn that she finds so tempting?
Rob Upshaw would be enjoying his time at the Inn at Fountenoy Hall if he wasn’t secretly hunting for a family treasure lost during Prohibition. Only a few minor inconveniences stand in his way. His uncle’s old journals are cryptic, he has only a vague description of the loot, and the beautiful, uptight innkeeper with a subtle sense of humor might hold the key to his quest. Even though Rob’s career is built on facts, he accepts he might have to lie to Wendy. But falling for her? That’s out of the question.

Moonshine and Magnolias is a Just Add Peaches novel. Each book in the series is a stand-alone, passionate and playful contemporary romance, but you'll want more than one juicy bite.

MY REVIEW:

Wendy and Rob’s story was a lot of fun to read, they both have goals in life and want to live in their terms. Neither expected to find someone they had a connection with and yet they can’t ignore it no matter how much Wendy wants to. Robs secrets eat at him which made me really like him. He wasn’t one of those people that had no morals. He knew he needed to tell her if he wanted a chance. Wendy was a great heroine in this book for her family struggle was genuine. She loved them all so much yet struggled to find a way to be her in the midst of them. Deciding her life was not to be in the family business wasn’t decided on a whim or out of resentment. She truly believed her calling was in Atlanta and that was were she needed to be. I love the strong independence she has through the whole story. Rob never tried to change who Wendy is, he is drawn to her strength and can see she is always taking care of others, this makes him want to be the one to help her. All in all I say you gotta get this book and curl up in a great spot to enjoy it!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Abigail is a Boston-bred Yankee now eating grits and saying "y'all" in North Central Florida. She dreamed more of being a stage actress or joining the CIA than being an author. While she still enjoys participating in community theater productions and singing karaoke, the secret-agent career was replaced by hours at her computer, writing stories of love and laughter and happily ever after.

Abigail lives with her husband, two kids, and one crazy princess puppy. You can keep up with her on Facebook at www.facebook.com/AbigailSharpeBooks on find her on Goodreads.
